💁About Me
Helloooo !
Welcome to my blog. Thanks for taking time to read my recipes. I am a mom of a toddler and a home maker who enjoys cooking, and learning new recipes every day.
I have completed my studies in commerce and professional qualification as cost accountant. My hobby is to watch street food videos and I love doing crochet. I spend most of my time with my daughter.
Here, I have posted some recipes (more to come), which are day to day recipes from our home.
The interesting story which made me to start this blog is my in law's home. Like every other women 😉, My life can be looked into two phases: before marriage and after marriage. Even before marriage, I love cooking and used to cook everyday. However after marriage, my cooking become more interesting (that to my surprise), my mother-in-law makes very new recipe everyday and the menu doesn't get repeated for at least 3 days (though we are vegetarians and from the same community). That's when I learnt that the most interesting fact of food is not only limited as vegetarian and non-vegetarian, its basically connected with the people's lifestyle and the dish that are related to the specific geographical location/farming and weather. It looks like a well known fact but when we start exploring the dishes, we start to learn not only the recipe but also the lifestyle and nature of the people and the geographical area. It is quite interesting right!
My-in-law home has some strict policy in cooking that in a day we should eat at least one veggie and one fruit. So she used to incorporate more veggie in her cooking. One interesting dish that I came to know after marriage is making stir-fry with drumstick also called as Drumstick poriyal. It is quite a unique dish which is very crisp and goes well with any sambar, vathal kulambu and moor kulambu. The dish that I learnt from my mother is Tomato rasam, the special thing in this rasam is she adds some onion and curry powder which gives a very unique flavour.
Overall, I was amazed that each recipe can be prepared via different methods, but there will be some combination and unique flavors that can satisfy both our mouth and our mind. Yeah! there comes the cooking style. Many of us know some common recipes, but the way each of us create them make the recipes special.
I am still learning and exploring cooking everyday which gives me some special memories. This blog is all about my journey in experimenting cooking and recipe.
All the recipes that I have posted (with photos) had both ingredient and final outcome of the recipe.
Enjoy Cooking! Explore the Flavor! cherish the Memories!
